Discovering Cambodian cuisine amidst the rice fields
Kiwi-Cambodian chef Kethana Dunnett, who with her husband Bruce, owns Sugar Palm, one of Siem Reap's best Cambodian restaurants, offers an exclusive cooking class at the couple's home. Taught in the stunning kitchen of their traditional teak home, set amidst the rice fields in the countryside outside Siem Reap, the class is one of the most relaxed I've ever done, yet also one of the most informative. Kethana and Bruce keep things fairly casual and you can be as hands-on (or not) as you like. As with most cooking classes, the experience ends with lunch. It's worth doing Kethana's class just to discover her secret to cooking one of Cambodia's finest fish amok dishes.
