The Springs Resort and Spa

A Day of Luxury in The Jungle
My friends and I preferred a local and eco-touristic stay when we were in La Fortuna but I can’t deny the fact that I wanted a day to lounge in the hot springs and chill next to a poolside bar with endless flowing piña coladas while staring off at the Arenal Volcano. However, to stay at a resort that offered a 5-star experience like this also felt like it was going to cost you 5 figures.

The Springs Hotel and Spa is arguably one of the nicest resorts in La Fortuna. They also monitor who comes in and out so it never feels overcrowded. There are enough springs and pools to almost feel like you’re in your own private backyard. For such an active and adventurous destination, the mineral pools they have cannot be beat by anything for recovery from tired muscles and sore bodies.

They offer day passes at an affordable rate of $65 and you have access to all of the hotels top notch, super classy, amenities. If you’re looking to spend a day relaxing and living the high life, it’s worth the extra cash. I like to say it’s one of those situations where you can justify it simply by the phrase, “treat yoself!"

(As I write this article I’m still dreaming of those piña coladas and that view!)
