Chocolates and Mimosas at The Source at Factory No. 2
Almost everything in the Gaffer District of Corning, New York can be tied back to the glass industry. The Source at Factory No. 2 was originally glass engraving factory, and now, it's home one of the best brunch spots in town. The wooden bar and many of the tables in the cafe are made from discarded wood from the renovation process.
The restaurant is a family-run operation, dating back some 15 odd years. Gary, the founder of The Source (which was originally a natural grocery store located across the street before opening as a cafe in its current location), has become a chocolatier in his retirement. The mimosa and chocolate pairing is a unique way to sample his confections (and some of the region's bubbly).
The Source is famous for their brunch, so you won't want to miss their fresh smoothies and apple pie french toast. The majority of products sold at the front of the store are made locally, including the gift baskets put together by Gary's wife, Cynthia.
