The shared lagoon between the islands of Taha’a and Raiatea—both part of The Society Islands, along with the island of Huahine—is a treasure trove of underwater caves, caverns, and shipwrecks. It teems with sea life, including large schools of eels, triggerfish, silverjacks, and reef sharks. Charter a sailboat or catamaran to float lazily around the calm lagoon, diving and snorkeling as you feel like it. Public lagoon and coral reef excursions are also available, as are kayak rentals.
