The Round Tower
Walking around the winding streets of central Copenhagen you will invariable chance upon The Round Tower which was completed in 1642. Inside, a spiral ramp—there are no stairs, so that horses and carts could go in when it was used as a library and observatory—leads up to an observation deck which has great views over the city and to Sweden in the distance. Every year there is a unicycle race up and down the tower. (To date the record time is just under one minute 50 seconds.) In addition to the views, the cobbled ramp inside is great fun for kids to race up.
