Right Whale Exhibit Museum
While hunting was a way of life for the Basque whalers of Red Bay, today the focus is on researching and protecting the North Atlantic right whale. The Right Whale Exhibit Museum features a gigantic 52-foot whale skeleton dated 400 years old, and while the museum isn’t large, it has lots of information about the ongoing conservation of right whales. You’ll only need to spend a short amount of time here to understand the importance of the work being done by scientists in the area.
