Built in 1892 and opened as one of the first saloons in Aspen during the mining era, this historical building still boasts as a local’s favorite bar. The interior has been remodeled but it still embodies the essence of the old bar with some important iconic mementos remaining like the name inlaid in tile in the entry, the face of the bar, the bar itself, and more. If only those keepsakes could speak I am sure they would have some crazy stories of back in the day. Supposedly a woman was murdered back in the mining days and her spirit still wanders the building. Even if it is haunted it a fun place to eat and drink. The different nights of the week host entertainment like Open Mic Night Mondays and Karaoke Thursdays. There are other nights that there is live music for those of you that don’t sing. Make sure that if you go there with a group to try the shot ski, which is an old-school ski with 4 to 5 shot glasses glued to it. See how in unison you and your friends are when you simultaneously take a shot together.
