The Little Miami River
Once an important source of freshwater pearls for eastern jewelers, including Tiffany & Co, industrialization took its toll on the Little Miami, one of southwestern Ohio's three great rivers. Decades of reclamation and cleanup have returned the waterway to some of its former glory and it is now a playground for Cincinnati area outdoor enthusiasts. Check out the Little Miami bike trail, rent a canoe at Morgans livery or cast a fly for excellent bass and panfish. For the adventurous, look into the annual Pedal, Paddle Porch Party, a fun filled triathlon of biking, canoeing and drinking cold beer near the BBQ.
