Frequently recommended, I finally found The One furniture shop to go to the cafe “upstairs in the back corner” of the store. I took a taxi to the corner of Zayed the First Street and Al Bateen Street—where my driver found it by the reference to the BMW showroom in the same building.
Entering the store, I was instantly enamoured by their trendy furniture and interior fixtures. The store invites customers to get lost between their cozy chairs and zany wall decor.
The store also has a “do good” philosophy. To acheive this, they are mindful about the people they hire, where they source products, and volunteering locally. Check out their website for more information—the company has an impressive story throughout the MENA region.
After an hour of browsing, I located that cafe upstairs and settled in for awhile with my journal, a moccachino, and a slice of carrot cake. This experience will most certainly be repeated!
