I've eaten at the Old Spaghetti Factory a handful of times. This last visit, we were on a date without our kids and decided to try the upstairs lounge seating. I love the general historic feel of the building itself, but the upstairs was unexpected, with it's seemingly original metallic ceilings and dated, yet cared for, decor. The ambience was surreal, as it was just the two of us and the occasional appearance from the bartender. It felt as though we were in a blip momentarily from a previous era, and then we finished up our Spumoni after our meals and headed back to modern day reality outside.
