At 10:30pm every Friday and Saturday a line of people form at the corner of Ashland and Foster and everyone holds a small plastic toy to guarantee their entrance into the 11:30pm Neo-Futurist show “Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind”. For 25 years the Neo-Futurists have performed this show every weekend, promising 60 plays in 30 minutes. With ticket prices dependent on a dice roll, new fresh material written weekly by the actors and a small cozy venue seating only 150 people, TMLMTBGB is funny, sociopolitical, relevant, and satirical. It’s late night, it’s never predictable and it’s always thought provoking and entertaining. This is one of Chicago’s best weekend offerings.
