An Architecture Student's Favorite Building
I have traveled throughout the States and Europe, and my favorite building is smack dab in the middle of the U.S. I love the contrast of the old art museum modeled after (I believe) the Cleveland Art Museum, and the new addition by Steven Holl. It is nicknamed, "the feather and the stone," because of the contrast of the old stone museum and the new glass addition which is lit up at night and appears to scatter like feathers in the wind down the landscape. The museum is also free, has an amazing collection, and a beautiful sculpture garden.
