Located inside the Bermuda Botanical Gardens, the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art showcases works by some of the island's leading artists as well as artists from other countries who have been inspired by the archipelago. The only museum in the nation to be specifically constructed as one, the Masterworks boasts a collection whose unifying theme is the Bermudan islands, their way of life, and the sea that surrounds them. Works span from the early 1800s to the present day, and the genres are just as diverse—there’s an impressive selection of photography, a variety of sculptures, and well-known oil paintings. Some big names here include Marsden Hartley, Winslow Homer, and Georgia O’Keeffe. A calendar of temporary exhibitions complements the permanent offerings.
