Canadian Mack Ross’s French Concession bar, Tour, has garnered a loyal following thanks to its unexpected cocktail-and-snack pairings. He's been so successful, in fact, that he dared to open a bar within a bar. The Magnolia Room is hidden inside Tour, tucked away behind a sliding cement entrance. There’s seating for just 16 people, and it's so fun to drink here that no one ever wants to leave. Order a drink—the PBS, say, with tequila, lime, peanut butter, and a dash of sriracha—and it’s delivered with a snack pairing (in this case, two salt and pepper quail eggs). But the best part about Ross's latest invention is the scratch-off lottery menu. You can win shots, a grilled cheese sandwich (perfect with a Grilled Negroni), and bottles of liquor.
