A coworker and I took to the streets of Limerick for the short afternoon and evening that we would be in town. We'd read about the castle near our hotel and ventured out to take a look, but before we could reach the castle the pouring rain arrived. So we popped into the nearest spot we found, which happened to be the Locke Bar.
As we warmed up with a delicious latte, we watched families, couples and coworkers arrive. Seemed Locke Bar was a bit of a watering hole for locals. Our server was friendly and patient as we asked her recommendations, which were a pleasant surprise! I enjoyed the Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli with an unlikely pairing of a Smithwicks.
As icing on the cake, a duo on the violin and accordion arrived to spice up the evening with some Irish tunes!
