the Curtis Denver - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel
Downtown Denver’s most cheerful hotel, the Curtis has whimsy and nostalgia in spades. The lobby is outfitted with board games, toys, and old-fashioned candy and treats, and the art collection is playful and colorful. Each floor of the hotel has a different pop-culture theme, ranging from “Sci Fi” adventure to “Dun Dun Dunnnnn!” horror (13th floor, natch). Standard rooms are fresh and full of pops of color, while hyper-themed rooms include the Ghostbusters’ green ectoplasm floors and Jimmy Buffett’s margarita-filled oasis (perhaps you’ll find that lost shaker of salt). Three swank suites are suitable for rock stars, decide whether you are more Spice Girls, KISS, or Rolling Stones. The Corner Office restaurant and martini bar is retro-cool, with plaid upholstery and ‘60s-mod light fixtures. The menu borrows street and comfort food favorites from all over the globe, with inventive housemade cocktails and Colorado
craft beer. The Curtis is in a prime downtown location, within a few blocks from nearly everything from concerts at the Denver
Performing Arts Center to basketball games at the Pepsi Center. There are also 24-hour business and fitness centers, but nothing about the hotel takes itself too seriously, except their guests having a good time.
