The Cove Resort at Atlantis Paradise Island
A 600-suite hotel within a hotel, the Cove is the most luxurious and adult-friendly of the room towers at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort. Kids aren’t banned, but the vibe is definitely grown-up. Notice this most strikingly at the adults-only Cove Pool, with its DJ-driven party scene, outdoor gaming tables, and mating-ritual pool wear. There’s a sense of sophistication, too, in the two-story lobby that soars above ponds of water lilies. Most suites have a balcony with an ocean view, the higher the better, and all have a sunken living room and marble-floored bathroom. While the Cove is slightly off by itself, with certain amenities available only to Cove guests, all the activities of Atlantis, including those that make adults feel like kids—such as the Abyss and Leap of Faith waterslides, or the dolphin encounters—are only steps, or a free shuttle ride, away. Also available is immersive programming that connects guests to the rich history, art, people, food, and festivities of The Bahamas, including a weekly Junkanoo Bahamian Fest & Feast (which honors a more than 500-year-old tradition within island culture), exhibits showcasing local artisans (like an installation by Bahamian legend Antonius Roberts on The Cove Beach peninsula), and five new outposts of beloved Bahamian restaurants (which offer local business owners the chance to share the tastes, culture, and spirit of The Bahamas with guests).
