Walking the Costa da Morte
We walked the Costa da Morte for five days, from Fisterra to Laxe, staying in a new village each night. The coastline between Camarinas and Laxe is pristine and empty of tourists. We walked around rocky promontories covered with wild flowers, down on to soft sand beaches, along farmers tractor paths through plots separated by ancient stone walls, to arrive in colorful little fishing villages filled with friendly Galicians. It was wonderful to be off the beaten track but still have a warm bed and wonderful seafood to savor each night.
