The Common Market

Deli, Wine and Beer in Southend
I don’t eat red meat as often as I’d like, but when I do, I really want it to be good. So when I’m deciding on a good red meat sandwich, Common Market is at the top of my cranial list. My default is Darby’s Roast Beef Deluxe: roast beef with cream cheese, horseradish, cucumber, red onion and lettuce. But my wife, who pretty much never eats red meat, is also equally satisfied with her mid-eastern wrap of hummus and tabouleh with red onion, bell peppers, tomato and sprouts. Common Market is not only one of the best delis in town. It’s also a wine bar, pub, grocer, and communal gathering hot spot with indoor and outdoor eating spaces. If you can't stick around, grab a bottle of wine or stout with your meal and get it go.
