Like a Kid in a Candy Store
Sometimes, appearances can be deceptive. Sometimes, you can’t judge a book by its cover.
Such is the case with the Candy Factory. It’s not right in Collingwood's historic downtown district for one thing. For another thing, it shows, from the outside, like that QuickeeMart from The Simpsons.
But step into this local icon and you will be transported.
Maybe it’s the rows and shelves of candy you haven’t seen since you were a kid. More likely, though, it’s the wealth of chocolate goodies they actually make on site—a sort of tourist destination-slash-trip to heaven.
You can actually watch them making chocolate from a viewing area—then pick up a treat from among 50 different kinds of chocolates.
You’ll be happier than, well, a kid in a candy shop.
