Burlesque thrives in the Emerald City: Seattle is home to at least 50 troupes and an academy teaching the art of the tease. Right in the heart of Pike Place Market, six classically trained dancers wow crowds full of couples and bachelorette parties. The stage may be petite—just 16 by 7 feet, plus a catwalk—yet the show's spirit is anything but. The choreography pushes the space's limits constantly, romping from vaudevillian humor to Dita Von Teese–style sauciness to serious acrobatics and aerial work. Reserve ahead for a superb à la carte brunch or dinner, or just belly up to the absinthe and craft cocktail bar (no cover).
