The Blue Planet

1 Jacob Fortlingsvej

Copenhagen’s aquarium moved to its new Kastrup home (not far from Copenhagen airport) in 2013, a stunning building whose architecture is inspired by the vortex created by a whirlpool. It has several different areas, including a coral reef, an Amazon area, and cold and warm water tanks, where visitors can see everything from piranhas and hammerhead sharks to seahorses and moray eels. The newest addition is dedicated to Alaskan sea otters.
