Århusgade 130, 2150 Copenhagen Municipality, Denmark
The AudoWhy we love it: This dreamy Copenhagen hotel doubles as a cutting-edge design showroom
-Always evolving interiors to showcase a selection of new partner products and artwork
-A rich design story, thanks to an emphasis on artists from around the globe
-A pristine café that’s perfect for Americanos and aperitivos alike
Inspired to fuse the ideas of design, hospitality, and community, design brand MENU, with Norm Architects and Kinfolk founder Nathan Williams, debuted the Audo, a space that serves as a hotel, restaurant, concept store, and work space. Located in the city’s Nordhavn area, a former industrial district that today is best known for its design showrooms and residential architecture, the property is aptly situated. It functions as a showroom in and of itself—nearly everything within these walls, from furniture to artwork, is available for purchase. Just 10 guest rooms are open for booking and range to include four sizes: Standard (250 square feet), Suite, Studio Suite, and Penthouse (750 square feet). Expect luxe amenities in each that invite total repose, including Dux beds, Frama skincare, and Tekla organic cotton bathrobes. After some ample R&R, venture to the Audo Café for coffee and a variety of breakfast pastries (dinner will be debuting soon at the Audo Restaurant). Before check-out, don’t miss an encounter with the Concept Store, where cushions, crockery, and stationary serve as souvenirs that are as practical as they are pretty.
