Meet Us At... The Beekman
Opening in June, this long-awaited hotel in a landmark building in Lower Manhattan will house new projects from two of the country’s most famous restaurateurs. First, there’s Tom Colicchio’s Fowler & Wells—somewhat obscurely named after the Phrenology pioneers that once operated in the same building in the early 1900s—the Top Chef judge’s first new NYC restaurant in six years. Expect lightened-up versions of old-school classics like Lobster Thermidor and oysters Rockefeller. Meanwhile, Augustine adds yet another French-inflected project to Keith McNally’s portfolio, which already includes hits like Balthazar, Minetta Tavern, and Cherche Midi.More Recommendations

Martinis and the Manhattan Skyline
If you're in Midtown, seek out the beautiful art deco Beekman Tower and take the elevator to the 26th floor. Here you'll find Top of the Tower, where you can get cocktails and wine amid a sensational panorama of Manhattan. Not only do the tables—all placed against the windows—give you a front-row seat to the skyline, but also views of the East River and Roosevelt Island. And, of course, you enjoy it all with a very decent martini. It's worth treating yourself to.
