Here nearly a thousand stray dogs have free reign over hundreds of acres at this amazing sanctuary that spays and neuters all the animals it takes in. Besides the great outdoors, dogs have access to shelter inside with beds, bathing facilities and feeding stations. Locals often stop by to just go for a hike with the pups, and tourists are also welcome -- call the shelter in advance to schedule a walk with a pack of hundreds for an experience that is sure to leave you smiling for weeks. Visiting doesn’t mean you’ll be obligated to adopt, and just spending a day with the dogs is a great way to give back a little.
