Tennessee State Museum

Bringing State History and Culture to Life
You can step inside a pioneer cabin or 18th-century print shop at this museum, which also features items of Andrew Jackson, Daniel Boone, David Crockett, and others. Located in downtown Nashville and free to visit, the museum also holds excellent exhibits. Find celebrity portraits (such as Nashvillian Russ Harrington’s album cover of Loretta Lynn and Jack White’s Van Lear Rose including Lynn’s powder-blue dress on display) as well as guitar and dulcimer collections.
