Tel Aviv Museum of Art (TAMA)The Tel Aviv Museum of Art, or TAMA, is home to an extraordinary collection of modern and contemporary art by Israeli and international artists—including some from the old masters and those of the 20th century—as well as prints, drawings, and photography. Founded in 1932 by Tel Aviv’s first mayor, Meir Dizengoff, in his private home, the museum has since grown to three buildings, including the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion for Contemporary Art, and numerous departments. It offers permanent collections and temporary exhibitions, as well as cultural events such as concerts, dance performances, films, and educational programs for children and adults.
