Dominican Republic has definitely earned its title of the 2019 golf capital of the Caribbean and Latin America, recently announced by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators. Of the country’s 26 courses, seven of them are consistently included on Golf Week magazine’s list of the best courses in the Caribbean and Mexico
. Punta Espada and Los Corales regularly appear on the list, while Teeth of the Dog in Casa de Campo Resort & Villas (seen here), has occupied the number one spot since 2009. The courses offer appealing challenges and the settings are hard to beat: When you are ready to play a round, you’ll find 86 sea-facing holes and 36 oceanside ones.
