Tan Chau & Evergreen Island

Cruising toward the Cambodian border, you’ll make your last stop in Vietnam to explore the city of Tan Chau via rickshaw, stopping at sites like the colorful Cao Dai temple. There, knowledgeable local guides will explain more about the Cao Dai religion, which draws from a number of world practices with the aim of being a unifying force. The excursion also includes a visit to a fish farm, as well as idyllic Evergreen Island, a hidden-away rural community where you’ll visit traditional homes and chat with residents and farmers about their way of life. Well-planned excursions like this one help connect guests to each destination, while entertainment and lectures onboard the Mekong Navigator offer insight into the arts, culture, and history of the region.
