I don't believe I have words big enough to capture my huge love for Tamper, but bear with me as I try to express it anyway:
The owners. Every great establishment has a great team behind it, and Germain and Marie-Sophie have nailed it. Warm, welcoming, and super knowledgeable, this dynamic duo takes hospitality and customer appreciation to a new level.
The drinks. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who knows as much about coffee as Germain. Working closely with two Parisian coffee roasters, he provides customers with the best-quality beans and coffee made any way you could imagine, with incredible attention to detail. And it’s not just the coffee – Tamper’s tea game is on point, with a collection of high-quality teas that can warm up any dreary Northern afternoon.
The food. The only thing I love more than coffee is food, and the menu at Tamper is nothing short of DIVINE. Marie-Sophie is an absolute genius in the kitchen, always with something new up her sleeve. Every item that makes it to the menu has been tasted, modified, and tasted again in her kitchen, and the results are flawless.
I don't have enough space to say all I'd like about this café, so I'll just leave you with this thought: for years, I’ve been on a never-ending quest for the perfect chai latté. My friends, I do believe I’ve found it. Don’t take my word for it though…head over and try Tamper for yourself – but don’t blame me when your coffee standards are impossibly high afterwards!
