Love for Nar
My days spent in Turkey always remind me of the beloved nar (pomegranate) fruit. Though it's ridiculously overpriced in Istanbul
, especially when it's out of season in summer, it's dirt cheap in other places where it grows abundantly in season like Marmaris. Though I craved my nar juice, I wasnt about to pay exorbitant prices of 14 lira--completely insane. So I waited patiently for my journey South to the Med. in the meanwhile these ceramic pomegranates were a lovely substitute for my cravings.
