Take a pontoon boat tour down the Tortuguero Canals, referred to as Costa Rica's Amazon because of the lush flora and abundant fauna. The canals, which are both natural and human-made, are a popular spot for visitors keen to get an easy-access view of Costa Rica's biodiversity. They are also a vital source of transportation and water for locals, and as such, give visitors a glimpse of Ticos' day-to-day lives.
