After about 24 hours of travel we arrived at Taipei at about 630AM. We had one member of our group whose flight was delayed and would not be arriving for about 2 hours. Our very energetic local guide, Harrison ("Harrison...like Harrison Ford....I am Indiana Jones!") decided to take us out for a typical Taipei commuters breakfast instead of waiting around at the airport. It was just a tiny little place with formica topped tables. Most of the patrons pulled up on their scooters, ran in for their breakfast, and left fairly quickly. It was obviously a real part of the locals regular routine. We got to watch everything being prepared in the kitchen. Noodles, potstickers, and bowls of warm soy milk. It was a great breakfast after a long day of travel and a great introduction to Taipei!
