Sylvia’s is a family-friendly, upscale soul food restaurant located on the site of the old 1920s Manhattan Casino in south St Petersburg. Inspired by the famous Harlem restaurant of the same name, Sylvia’s offers a full range of southern cooking. Stewed chicken and dumplings, oxtails, southern style chitterings, fried chicken (and waffles), ribs. Sides range from black eyed peas and grits to pickled beets and everything in between. Sylvia’s is open from breakfast through dinner six days a week. Family night specials are offered on Tuesdays, senior night is Wednesdays. On the weekend, Sylvia’s hosts a jazz brunch on Saturday and a traditional gospel brunch on Sundays.
