Believe it or not, New York City has amazing fried chicken spots, and Sweet Chick on the Lower East Side and in Williamsburg is a gem among them. One of my favorite dishes is their weekend-only special chicken and “foieffles”—fried chicken, duck fat maple syrup, and waffles with foie gras packed inside them—and many of their other specials are similarly creative.
