Mr. Pei’s last official masterpiece, the Suzhou Museum is a work of art that houses the area’s historical artifacts and was built as a tribute to the city where he spent several years in his youth and where his family lived for hundreds of years.
The Suzhou Museum is open six days a week, closed on Mondays, and offers free admission to visitors. Guided audio-tours are available in multiple languages for a fee of 30 RMB (approximately US$4.50).
