On Highway 101, Sequim is a coastal town northwest of Seattle filled with lavender farms. We only went to a few farms, each one quite different and unique. It was very similar to visiting wineries with their own styles and flavors.
It was highly recommended by a local to stop at the lavender farms as we drove through Sequim on our way from Seattle to the Hoh. I would never have known about the lavender discovery had my friend from Washington not mentioned it. Sequim was not on our radar from any travel research, but since, found out the lavender tourism is quite popular and there is an annual festival.
We took our trip the third week in July and it was sunny, beautiful and warm everyday. If you love lavender, this is definitely a cool spot to visit.
