A Unique Blend of Tombs and Surf
The Island of Sumba is one of a handful of places left in the world where the animist religion Marapu is still practised. Throughout the little know Indonesian island I found huge stone altars placed over tombs, legacies of the megalithic culture still alive on the island today.

The picturesque island is also home to some of Indonesia's best beaches and is becoming an emerging destination for surfers looking for something a bit different to nearby Bali.
