The town of Sucre may not actually be named for "sugar" (it is actually named for General Sucre, who helped bring about South American independence from Spain) but you would never know it from this candy store in the center of town. Sucre is famous for its chocolates and this corner store is the best place to sample them. Whether stocking up for a trip across the Salar or just snacking, the coconut creams and almond bars of Para Ti are worth a special visit. They also do a mean frozen hot chocolate. Who knew that Bolivia rivaled Switzerland in chocolate making!?
