One of the highlights of spring are the villages of North Dorset when flowers start to bloom. Many of the traditional thatched cottages have wisteria growing up the walls and so in May to June they burst into a riot of colour. This is the time to take a drive through the winding lanes and country towns to see these lovely old houses at their best. It really is a glorious sight. With a timeless beauty and on cue each year these cottages are transformed into magnificent displays of purple as the wisteria blooms once more.
