Not far from Indio, CA (Home to Coachella) is Joshua Tree National Park. My friends and I decided to make a pit stop into the desert to see the trees that inspired The Lorax written by Dr. Seuss.
We drove through the entire park within an hour. It was mostly vast empty space filled with nothing but sand and BOULDERS. I repeat, BOULDERS!!! They were huge, and I could not control my childish tendencies. I had to climb them.
We also visited a cactus farm within the park. Other than that it was the desert. What more could you expect?
