Who would open a record store in the age of digital downloading? LP lovers Bill Zindel and Steve Viaduct, that's who. The door swung open in the fall of 2012, and the bins and wall displays were full of nothing but vinyl records, used and especially new. In-store concerts--by such locals as punk rock legend and folkie singer-songwriter Penelope Houston and acoustic fingerstyle guitarist Matt Baldwin--are part of the aesthetic, as are film screenings (eg. the Sun Ra documentary "Space Is the Place"). Stranded brings Michael Chabon's "Telegraph Avenue" to life with a new spin.
