Peaches and Shooting Stars
Thirteen miles east of the beloved town of Fredericksburg lies Stonewall, a Texas town most commonly known for its luscious peaches. The fantastic thing about this area is there is so much going on: vineyards, shopping, plenty of charming bed and breakfasts, and tons of Hill Country outdoor activities—including stargazing. With a population of less than 1,500, and not a major metropolis within a range of several hours, Stonewall's night skies are clear, and lend to some serious star spotting—an experience made even better with a bottle of wine from one of the Hill Country’s local wineries.
