Stolle

Ulitsa Vosstaniya, 32, Sankt-Peterburg, Russia, 191014

Named after one of the founders’ grandmothers, Stolle is a local chain of pierogi (pie) shops, but each feels like a one-of-a-kind bakery. Cozy interiors are filled with the aroma of baking pies, both sweet and savory, or hearty, as they like to say. The fish-shaped herring pie is a favorite.
