Being in Berlin it is surprising to see any sign of religion, especially that of Judaism. With the horror of the Nazis and the oppression of the communists it is a wonder anything survived.

Synagogues in Berlin are like an old man who never forgets. The buildings are heavily guarded and visitors are screened. But with all this it does nothing to take away from its beauty.

I really badly wanted to enter; apparently there is a nice gallery inside and the remains of a defused bomb. But alas, I never found the entrance. My challenge to you is to not be like me, and go inside and see!
