Starboard Tack, a lively 24-hour East Side cocktail lounge, originally opened in the 1970s and became a fixture on the Vegas nightlife circuit. In recent years, it was rebranded as Gilligan’s Hideaway and lost some of its magic. In early 2017, new owners resuscitated the old concept, complete with its kitschy menu that features pupu platters and skewers as well as Caribbean and Southeast Asian fare. Though the owners swear the new iteration is not a tiki bar, almost all of the cocktails incorporate some sort of rum.
