Most people visit Cooperstown for their baseball fix but there isso much more that the area has to offer. Cooperstown sits at the south end of Otsego Lake which is a 9 mile long fishing, boating and swimming haven. The path to Star Field goes along a ridge on the southeast side of the lake. It takes you a couple miles or so through dense forest and then to a wide open field that overlooks the lake and parts of Cooperstown. It is a great spot to visit every time of year and my dogs favorite place on this earth. So, if you are tired of all of the baseball, maybe you can take a nice walk through the woods and see another side of Cooperstown.
