Hyde Park's Most Famous Resident
Delve in the world of President Franklin D. Roosevelt with a guided tour of his lifelong Dutch colonial-style home, situated on his 1520-acre Hyde Park Estate. Many details have been preserved including his wheelchair and the hand-pulled elevator to hoist his polio-afflicted body upstairs. Outside the mansion, be sure to view his and First Lady Eleanor's final resting places (Fala the dog too), rose garden, coach house, horse stables, and picturesque views of the Hudson River and its surrounding valley.
