With two locations, revolutionary Spiral Diner & Bakery has been awarded best vegan restaurant in Dallas by Vegnews magazine. That’s no small shake for a concept that started in Fort Worth, aka Cowtown, where it was dreamt up by a Texan film maker who’d spent time in veg-friendly LA. Located in Fort Worth’s Funky Town and Dallas’s Oak Cliff, the culinary spot began as a project to promote vegan deliciousness and ethical awareness. A den of culinary alchemy, this 100 percent vegan kitchen does not even serve honey. Head over to indulge in Viva Las Migas, a breakfast tofu scramble, or a quinoa Taco Salad, boasting black beans, corn and peppers.
