Spice Market

403 W 13th St, New York, NY 10014, USA

While I am not usually one to go for the see-and-be-seen kind of places, the Spice Market was definitely the highlight of my last trip to New York City. And it’s the kind of place where Kim Kardashian or Jennifer Lopez eat from time to time. Not that it’s of any importance. Because the main attraction here, besides the flashy crowd and the enviable location, is the food. The absolutely delicious and surprisingly affordable menu blew me away - it just isn’t the type of thing you expect to find in the fashionable Meatpacking District. I opted for the hamachi sashimi and the spicy-crispy tofu, and boy, was I not disappointed. The menu covers many different countries, each with its own influences, and yet all of the dishes have a distinctive modern and original flair. This is probably the ultimate fancy New York eatery experience - beautiful people, high heels, a fancy decor, and yet, a mouth-watering menu at more than fair prices. I’m not sure how it can get better than this.
